The long-established payoff line, ‘The original play food’, inspired the new TVC by TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris for Beacon Allsorts. The ad is part of a relaunch for the brand after a five year break from television advertising.


Joint Executive Creative Director, Matthew Brink, says, “The relaunch revisits a proposition that has struck a chord with generations of consumers. You don’t mess with great originals. They retain their impact down the years and provide all the inspiration you’ll ever need.


Our treatment is all about the fun eating experience and experimenting with your favourite colours and shapes in line with long-term consumer behaviour in this category. It’s a chance to be a little off the wall while reminding consumers in a fun way that Beacon gave them the original play food.”
