Jana+Koos for Augustine


Joburg-based dream team Jana Hamman and Koos Groenewald, known collectively as Jana + Koos, have been doing some incredible work lately. Specialising in Concept Design, their big ideas are always impressively executed whether the job calls for advertising, design, illustration, photography or art. We’re super excited to be sharing some of their latest here.


First up is design for bespoke menswear fashion brand, Augustine. Jana + Koos were approached to create design elements to accompany their Spring Summer 12/13 range based on the meeting of sport and floral trends.





Another recent project was the design of a wedding invitation for a ceremony held in Mozambique. The design was based on the idea of two lovebirds heading East to tie the knot.






Johnny Gun is a new initiative by Fresh Eye Films to launch and nurture young and upcoming directing talent. Jana + Koos were briefed to create the visual identity for the new division using a character illustrated by Jac Hamman to embody the youthful, experimental and ballsy spirit of Johnny Gun.







Bianca Miles and Khaya Sibiya, founders of collaborative mobile fashion boutique Punk & Ivy, approached Jana + Koos to create a visual identity for their brand that could be used across their various platforms including signage, tags and labels. This was their response, with photography by Justin McGee and styling and garments by Punk & Ivy.
