As part of their latest campaign, the Woolworths Jeanswear brand RE: set up a competition to give four of their most stylish fans an experience they would never forget. To kick things off, RE: invited young South Africans with a love for fashion and music to show them who they are. The prize? Nothing less than the trip of a lifetime to the V-Fest music festival in London.
To enter, each participant shared their unique denim looks with RE: through Twitter and Instagram using the #rerepresent hashtag. Providing some inspiration for the entrants, RE: also sent photographer’s Anthony Bila and Paul Ward out and about to capture the fashionable SA youth scene.
Two winners were chosen for their unique denim styles and flown to London with their partners and RE:’s winning photographer, Anthony Bila. The entire experience was documented on film: watching Eddie Izzard live in the comedy tent, doing some vintage shopping at the V-Fest market and getting to enjoy world class acts live including Calvin Harris, Two Door Cinema Club, Kings of Leon, Kendrick Lamar and Beyonce. RE: also went behind the scenes with Poppy Ntshongwana to cover the festival fashion.
