Sanlam Investments FoodWineDesign Fair 2013

Sanlam Investments FoodWineDesign Fair

The FoodWineDesign Fair is a boutique outdoor market that features the best in local speciality foods, micro breweries, top wine lables, artisan products and furniture crafters. The first of its kind in South Africa, the Fair was launched in 2010 by Artlogic and Sanlam Investments and has already established itself as one of the most highly anticipated events on Johannesburg’s social calendar.

The main purpose of the Fair is to cater to the crossover interests of a discerning lifestyle, namely: eating the best local foods, tasting boutique wines and of course decorating your home with the works of South African artists and designers. On-site, top SA chefs also educate and inspire with live demonstrations.

Food related exhibitors include Belle’s Patisserie, Braeside Meat Boutique, Gingko, 4th Avenue Coffee, Soul Souvlaki and Rio Largo Olive Oil. Accompanying wine and drinks vendors include the likes of Spier & Creative Block, Môreson, Grande Provence, Glen Carlou, Craft Liquor Merchants and Anthonij Rupert Wines. Finally, making up the design side of things are Africandy, Anatomy Design, Goet, L’Mad Collection, Maker, Missibaba, Pichulik and Skinny LaMinx to name a few. See the full list of exhibitors here.

The 2013 FoodWineDesign Fair will take place this weekend, from 8-10 November. The rooftop of the Hyde Park Corner shopping centre provides the magical setting which will be filled with tented areas, theatre lighting, larger than life landscaping and inspired retailing and dining areas.
