11 Nov Nothing Else Comes Close: Nokia Lumia 1020 Group Exhibition
To celebrate the launch of the new Nokia Lumia 1020, eight of South Africa’s most exciting photographers were given the opportunity to use the device to interpret the phrase: Nothing Else Comes Close.
With a 41 megapixel sensor, the Nokia Lumia 1020 makes photographs and videos of outstanding quality accessible wherever you are. It’s equipped with PureView Techonology, Optical Image Stablisation and high-resolution zoom, while the Nokia Pro Camera app offers ultimate control over settings such as exposure, white balance and focus.
We chose eight distinctly different photographers to demonstrate how the Nokia Lumia 1020 performs across a variety of styles and genres. They are: Ross Garrett, Dylan Culhane, Amy Scheepers, Brian Molepo, Justin McGee, Lee-Roy Jason, Sherilea Gaspar and Andrew Berry.
Over the past four weeks each photographer has been using the Nokia Lumia 1020 to assemble a series of photographs or a video that translates their vision. The resulting collection of works – as varied and exciting as the photographers themselves – will be presented in a group exhibition at the Alexander Theatre on the 29th November 2013.
In the three weeks leading up to the exhibition the photographers’ work will be revealed on the Nokia Lumia 1020 campaign page.
In addition, behind the scenes footage and the photographers’ reflections on the experience has been captured and compiled into a collection of videos, which will be added to the photographers’ profiles as their work is released.
Keep an eye on the campaign page to watch as things unfold, and follow 10and5 on Twitter and Facebook for updates.
