20 Mar Oh Wow! – Beaded iPhone Cases, Typographic Illustration and an Artist’s Book.
We’re saying Oh Wow! a little early this week ahead of the long weekend – but really, we’re not complaining. Especially because we found a whole bunch of fantastic things, including a book for Zander Blom by Gabrielle Guy, even more of Vukile Batyi’s beaded iPhone covers, some woven lampshades and drawings by the lead singer of a Thrash Metal band.
ONE – Design and layout by Gabrielle Guy for Zander Blom’s Paintings Volume 1
TWO – Corporate identity for music production studio Tommy Tucker by Am I Collective.
See more here.
THREE – More beaded iPhone cases by Vukile Batyi, one of which we’ve featured here. The first design was done in collaboration with MaXhosa by Laduma.
FOUR – Las Vegas typographic illustration for Show Us Your Type, created by Amber Smith.
FIVE – The third edition of the Adidas Originals AREA3 Broadsheet, designed by ANDPEOPLE and featuring photographers Anthony Bila and Kristin-Lee Moolman, Danny Brown, the Unite Joburg exhibition and the legendary Stan Smith.
Limited issues available from adidas Originals stores in Canal Walk and V&A Waterfront, Menlyn Park Shopping Centre as well as at select Stuttafords, Sportscene, Soho and a store is good stores.
SIX – Woven lampshades by Noush.
SEVEN – Drawings by Marcel Marcel, an artist and the lead singer of Joburg Thrash Metal band Death Pegasus. This Friday they’re playing a one night only gig at The Pit in Cape Town, in conjunction with an exhibition of Marcel’s work.
