Openings This Week: CT | No Man’s Art Pop-up Gallery, A Silent Auction and Worldwide Arduino Day

This week Cape Town hosts some interesting openings. From a silent furniture auction to an international pop-up gallery, an eco film fest and everything in between. Look out for Mia Chaplin’s solo show, and a group show by Conrad Botes, Anton Kannemeyer and Claudette Schrueders.

Tuesday, 25 March

 

A special edition of 1000 Drawings‘ Drink ‘n Draw takes place at Twenty Fifty

One of South Africa’s legend illustrators, Linsey Levendall joins us from Canada. He also created the event poster. Inka Kendzia will be doing some epic visuals to inspire your doodling. The Deckle EdgeGrolsch & Butler’s Pizza are sponsoring materials, beer and pizza.

No Man’s Art Pop-up Gallery opens in Cape Town

Cape Town is the seventh destination of this worldwide Pop-up Gallery. The exhibition will showcase young South African artists alongside the artists the gallery discovered at the previous destinations The venue is secret, so sign up at www.nomansart.com to receive the address and get your name on the guest list for opening night, which is guest list only.

 

 

The Class of 2013, a group jewellery exhibition opens at The [o]bject House

Showcasing the work of 13 students selected from Stellenbosch University, Ruth Prowse School of Art and Cape Peninsula University of Technology as part of the World Design Capital 2014 program #WDC267.

 

Opening at The [o]bject house, 1 Hares Avenue, Woodstock from 6pm – 10pm.

 

The exhibition runs from 27 March and ends on the 13 April 2014.
