05 May Missshape x Thithi Nteta | The Second Ambassadors Collection
Last year local womenswear label MISSSHAPE by Jamal Nxedlana announced its Ambassadors project: a series of creative collaborations with individuals or brands who have a distinct style but aren’t involved directly in the design or production of fashion.
Missshape now presents its second collaborative offering together with Thithi Nteta whose career has spanned fashion blogging, project managing, styling, and working as a publicist for the WKND SOCIAL. The choice to make Thithi the brand’s next Amabassador was an easy one. Jamal describes her as the epitome of the Missshape woman: beautiful, bold, astute, modern and super fashionable, of course.
The one-time team decided to work without a concept to start, focussing instead on the individual garments and allowing a story to develop through the pieces which has resulted in an eclectic collection of exciting separates. Jamal says, “Parts of the collection feel Japanese, other parts have an American sportswear vibe and there’s maybe even a bit of punk in there”.
