Saatchi and Saatchi South Africa have partnered with comedic duo Derick Watts & The Sunday Blues (Nicholas Smal and Gareth Allison) for Project Trapped – a hilarious interactive campaign for Efferflu C Immune Booster.
The campaign began with the comedy duo mistakenly embarking on what they thought would be the holiday of a lifetime, only to discover that they were going to be trapped for 5 days in a hotel room as part of a social experiment to dramatise how bad being sick on holiday can be and how Efferflu C Immune Booster can keep you healthy.
Throughout the week the public are called to submit their suggestions of what Nic and Gareth should do to entertain themselves via Twitter – a simple way to secure an entry for the grand prize of a holiday worth R60 000.
So far the suggestions have had the duo waxing their armpits, enjoying a bubble shower, impersonating each other and playing with sock puppets. These suggestions have been rolling in since Monday and daily episodes showing what Nic and Gareth get up to are uploaded to Youtube.
“Not only is the daily content being produced hilarious but it is also based on crowd-sourced suggestions for things for the duo to do from our #projecttrapped followers,” says Executive Creative Director at Saatchi & Saatchi, Gavin Whitfield.
All episodes can be viewed daily on Derick Watts & The Sunday Blues YouTube Channel.
