08 Aug Oh Wow! – Club Collage, Cape Town’s New Bagel Bar, a Conceptual Book and 365 Days of Origami.
In Oh Wow! this week we’re looking at a summery shoot on the coast of Cape Town, a brand new bagel bar with a brilliant corporate identity and shop-fittings, and an ongoing project to fold a different origami figure each day.
ONE – For their Spring 14 Collection, Zulu & Zephyr collaborated with iconic photographer Henrik Purienne who photographed the range on the coast of Cape Town “where the sun is warm, the ocean is misty and the beach is vibrant”.
TWO – Matthew Freemantle and Andrew Kai have just launched MAX BAGELS, a New York Style Bagel bar on Bree Street in Cape Town’s CBD. Local designers Dale Lawrence and Ben Johnson collaborated on the corporate identity, and the shop-fitting was done primarily by Jakob Basson with some bespoke pieces by Xandre Kriel.
THREE– “Cutting up the kitchen table” at Club Collage by CLRS&Co. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for the next one!
FOUR – 365 Days of Origami | This year, Ross Symons of White On Rice is folding a different origami figure each day. Follow the project on Instagram.
