Over the course of the week we collected all of the wow-worthy things we spotted online. Today they’ve made their way into a bumper edition of Oh Wow! including a window display in vivid colours, a premix EP, art that sneaks around, a capsule collection, illustrations made out of paper offcuts and a comical DIY video.
TWO – Mitchell Gilbert Messina‘s attempt to sneak a “vague sculptural object” into the Stevenson Gallery’s viewing room.
THREE – Album art by Philippus Johan for a premix of Christian Tiger School‘s upcoming ‘Chrome Tapes’ EP. It has remixes from Slugabed, MNDSGN and Markus Wormstorm and is streaming on Spotify or available for purchase on iTunes.
FOUR – Street style snaps by Lebogang Tlhako.
SIX – Artist’s Andrzej Urbanski and Pierre Le Riche collaborated on a multi-coloured window display for Sorrento Events‘ office in Buitenkant Street. Project management by Candice Jezek, photographs by Terri Dee Brown.
SEVEN – In his ongoing project ‘Umuntu Wabantu’ Hector Bartlett intends to explore the growth and display of South African street fashion through 10 different photographic series. This instalment showcases Roman Handt shot by Jeff Rikhotso. Watch the project unfold here.
