Salomon Running is a series of short stories about Trail Running and the inspiring athletes who take part in the sport. The series is produced by The African Attachment, an independent film production company who have been working with mountain-oriented sports gear brand Salomon since 2011.
Following the success of previous seasons, a team led by The African Attachment’s adventurous co-founder Dean Leslie have completed Season 4 since we last checked in with them and they’ve recently published episodes 5 and 6 of the season online. Episode 5, ‘The Forest’, shares the story of three explorers – Anna Frost, Rickey Gates and Matt Flaherty – as they journey through the ancient Redwoods of Northern California. The short film is an ode to the reflective moments of solitude and appreciation that only the wild can give us.
The 6th episode ‘Kroger’s Canteen’ is about Kilian Jornet who won the Hard Rock 100 mile run through the San Juan’s of Colorado. Along the way he stopped at Kroger’s Canteen, an aid station perched on a tiny ledge 13, 100 ft above sea level.
