22 Jan Take a Drive to Sean Koch’s Debut Seaside EP ‘Natural Projection’
Emerging from the small seaside village of Cape Town’s Kommetjie, Sean Koch’s music is a refreshing listen. Well harmonised vocals ride along rolling, country style guitar chords and subtle, surf like bass lines to bring a positively jubilant, but simultaneously laid back sound. It’s the kind of sound that’s suited to both slow drives to unknown destinations, and packed out gig venues.
Today marks Sean’s debut EP release and sees an impressive amount of local collaboration for a first release. Titled, Natural Projection, the EP features the likes of Grassy Spark’s Josh Riley and Yanick Bathfield, Al Bairre’s Tessa Johnson, Los Tacos’ Shaun Cloete, and Anya Zinn from Birthday Girl.
Sean’s already toured with well-known local acoustic musicians Jeremy Loops and Matthew Mole in 2015, and this year sees him focusing on the Sean Koch Band with long-time friends Ross Hillier on drums and Shaun Cloete on bass and keys.
