28 Jan Ben Moyo’s Charismatic Street Style Portraits Hold Distinct Narratives
One of photography’s oldest and truest styles lies in portraiture. Over the years it’s been reinvented and reimagined to create some truly captivating images, but sometimes going back to the basics allows for the medium to shine through at its strongest.
Zimbabwean born, South African relocated photographer Ben Moyo makes use of striking colour and simple composition to produce remarkable and honest portraits. Perhaps most surprisingly, Ben doesn’t own a camera and uses his phone for most of his work. Having practiced photography for two years now, he’s a storyteller first and foremost, which is something that announces itself almost immediately in his narrative, street style shoots.
