29 Jan Seema Allie’s Cape Town Cool Lookbook for Iconic London Label Brutus
Seema Allie is a Cape Town photographer who works with her husband Taariq Sepstar under the moniker The Seppis. Her work often features interesting details and her style is bold and assured. When approached by the owner of London-based iconic 60s shirt brand Brutus late last December and asked to shoot images for the label’s trim-fit collection, Seema gathered together a troop of her cool friends to create this equally iconic Cape Town street-style lookbook.
The shoot took place at the Superior Goods Store that is owned by three of the guys who feature in the lookbook: Simon Pocock, Mpilo Ngcukana and Jesse Lange. Their streetwear label is called Simon Deporres and features alongside Brutus shirts in the shoot. Seema’s images capture the carefree spirit of both brands, distinct as they are, in a lookbook that oozes typical Cape Town street scene cool. Each of the models in the shoot styled themselves, creating personal looks that convey their individual style.
Take a ride with them.
