Closing the chapter on his latest album Family Values, Riky Rick’s short film Exodus is a striking and cinematic series of vignettes that beautifully compliment the already story-like album.
Directed by Arcade Content’s Kyle Lewis, the nine minute short film was shot in the Cape Town community of Khayelitsha and is predominantly made up of dramatic black and white scenes carrying a series of gripping narratives. The scenes are highlighted through bursts of colour in the form of rich, golden textures and electric blue skylines and are set against five powerful tracks by Riky Rick.
This isn’t the first time the creative duo have teamed up. ‘Fuseg’ marked the previous collaboration between the two and became the award-winning rapper’s first music video to top one million views on YouTube.
