Meet the female content creating trio Nwabisa Mda, Thembe Mahlaba and Bongeka Masango from Pap Culture. They’re fierce, they’re fun and they’re using YouTube as a platform to create content that truly resonates with young South Africans. Pap Culture doesn’t shy away from getting to the core of what makes us tick. On their Youtube channel they discuss heated issues from voting and ethnicity to light-hearted topics like finding a bae and social media etiquette.
Despite working 9-5 jobs, they make time to conceptualise, shoot, star in and edit their weekly videos. When it comes to the type of content they produce, viewers can watch Ride Alongs featuring personalities and specialists, On Location shoots where they capture the hubbub of significant people and places, Reacts where they discuss topical issues or Talks where they touch on gender, political and social concerns. In celebration of BAYEZA, we hopped on board a Ride Along to chat about being bold and igniting conversations that matter.
