What they don’t tell you about planning: Catching up with MOAD’s Aaron Kohn

Does an entrepreneur’s success rely on a solid business plan? How closely connected are financial challenges and planning priorities? It’s important to map the future, support growth and identify the milestones you’re working toward. Check out Chapter three of the Santam 1001 Days campaign, where Nelisiwe Masango from Bear Run Investments and Mariam Jakoet Harris from Cooked Inc. share their personal approaches to planning.

According to the Santam start-up survey conducted on over 600 South African entrepreneurs, most small businesses said pre-planning took less than six months and that finances were the biggest challenge in this start up period. Planning plays an essential role in the success of a business. Being prepared for financial challenges along the way can help you find solutions quickly and effectively.

As part of our video series with the Santam 1001 Days Campaign, host Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane spoke to Director of the Museum of African Design, Aaron Kohn to find out how he goes about planning his business.
