13 Oct Locate the perfect venue with NVD Property & Project Management
Do you need a venue to do a shoot, somewhere new to freelance from? Somewhere with a breezy outside view overlooking the city, or perhaps you’re looking for a place to host a party, a group meeting or conference. You’re thinking something trendy and versatile in the city centre that’s as comfortable as your lounge but with barmen and coffee baristas included.
The Cartel Rooftop, Ideas Cartel Auditorium and Out of Office Boardrooms situated on 71 Waterkant Street are perfect for the above and the sort of places that are less noisy and more spacious than a coffee shop on weekdays. Managed by Nina van Deventer of NVD Property and Project Management, the venue can be booked for product launches, film shoots, weddings or parties and was where we hosted our Creative Women Conference last year.
The Cartel Rooftop accommodates up to 150 people and when it comes to decor and layout “we can do whatever you can imagine,” says Nina. Since its inception, she has organized everything from intimate live gigs, to Gin O’Clock gatherings, formal sit down dinners, weddings and year end party celebrations at the Cartel Rooftop.
After studying accountancy and marketing and working in the tourism, hospitality and events industry for a while, Nina decided to take the lead and start her own business. From early beginnings at the Inner City Ideas Cartel she’s now become the go to woman for any client wanting to rent luxury residencies, private villas or public spaces in Cape Town for holiday accommodation, shoots or events. Her location agency, NVD Property & Project Management has a large portfolio of diverse and breathtaking venues to choose from. “I deal with the venue component on behalf of the companies that book through me and they can still use their own suppliers,” she adds.
With 18 years’ experience comes knowledge of all the loose ends that often become oversights for those not familiar with process and this is where Nina’s expertise helps. What are some of the things people don’t think about?, we ask. To which she responds, “Noise pollution, keeping the neighbours happy, catering, a sound system, lighting and parking which is very important but often left for the last minute. Lots of people book villas without checking if they’ve got permits for commercial use. It’s not just booking a space, it’s making sure you’ve booked the right location for the event brief,” she advises.
Nina’s attention to detail and sound knowledge has garnered notable clients such as Business of Design, Design Indaba, Mercedes Benz and Primedia. So, if you’re looking for phenomenal service, world-class venues and holiday accommodation in the Mother City, then make sure to put Nina van Deventer Property & Project Management on the top of your list.
