Video: Illustrator Jess Jardim-Wedepohl on Scott Pilgrim, stereotypes and SA’s design scene

If you haven’t heard of Jess-Jardim-Wedepohl, she’s a Johannesburg-based illustrator and designer with a distinct style. Playful, cartoon-like and communicative at its core, Jess’ work makes use of delicate brushwork, vibrant colour, and spirited character illustrations.

We recently spent some time with the artist at her home studio to find out a bit more about her process, where she gets her signature style from, and of course, see her illustration skills in action.
