Dear Ribane Creative Collective

This creative collective, comprising of siblings Tebogo Ribane, Manthe Ribane and Kokona Ribane, aim to take avant-garde to the people, and their conceptual performances and productions have earned them a name as a cutting-edge production company.

Starting in 2015, the family teamed up to form Dear Ribane. Their parents, who passed away when they were very young, always encouraged their artistic sides, and when they finally found themselves all in the same space, they wanted to form a project that spoke to all of their interests – design, fashion, performance, music and dance.

Dear Ribane’s experience and client-base is a testament to their strong work ethic, quality costumes, set-work, and design and their flair for theatricality. Their work spans the local and international scenes, with them having performed and exhibited in Amsterdam, Liberty London and Norient Musik and Film Festival in Switzerland. They have also worked on international campaigns with Kenzo, Chanel #TheFifthSense No.4, i-D magazine, Nike, EDUN, and RedBull. Earlier this year the trio were nominated as one of Design Indaba’s Most Beautiful Object, and recently, they opened for British-Sri Lankan rapper M.I.A., in Johannesburg, after performing at Bushfire and Sakifo Festival.
