The South African homeware designer of top quality, natural and exotic hides, Cow Hide Co. expands their range to what the brand calls a “Bold” mix. Experience designer hide rugs and runners, where traditional hide meets bodacious, and perfect geometrical design. The best part? Guided by the gifted eye of designer, Jordyn Pollock, the new range is customisable to suit a myriad of styles, patterns, and colours such as faded black, white and electric blues.
Like the brands trendy hides, Cow Hide Co.’s latest collection is created either using an acid-wash and foil technique, stamp technique, print or dye which is directly printed onto the hide. The designer rugs and runners require meticulous and careful planning; each block is hand-cut and carefully organised into patterns, and is then individually hand-sewn together in order to create the unique style. The new designer rugs and runners are available between R12 000 – R25 000, which can be purchased at their boutique store in Cape Town or delivered nationally from the brand’s website.
“I want to bring to life a more modern, bold look to the traditional hide as a contrast between organic and geometric,” shares Jordyn on the new range. “Our hides create brightness and colour adding the final touch that truly enhance any space.”
All of the Cow Hide Co. designer hides, runners and rugs are made with AA+ Nguni Cow Hides using either an acid-wash and foil technique, stamp technique, dyed or a print which is directly printed onto the hide. All of their hides are bi-products and CowHideCo. takes great care in the creation of every product.
Additionally Cow Hide Co. offers natural hides which are hand-picked Nguni hides of the highest quality, all of which have been kept uncompromised of their natural design. This enables the natural beauty of each design.
With this, they offer sheepskins in various sizes and colours as well as Genuine Burchell Zebra hide.
You can find all of the Cow Hide Co. products available online, as well as at the Cape Town-based studio at 50 Barnet St, Dunkley Square, Gardens. Where Jordyn offers an interactive design experience, starting from the conceptualisation of a runner or rug to the very end product – where uniqueness is her guarantee.
