Alban Bulibirha is a self-taught freelance photographer in Cape Town that uses visuals as a tool for self-expression as well as a storytelling medium.
In his most recent photo-audio project, Sisterhood, Alban explores the meaning of sisterhood from the perspectives of blood sisters from different backgrounds.
The sisters were photographed and interviewed, which resulted in a beautiful and honest representation of the deep connection in a well-maintained relationship between sisters.
Alban believes in telling familiar and relatable stories in an organic, creative and honest way. His work aims to capture the ordinary that is often overlooked.
