The Higher Institute for Fine Arts (HISK) offers advanced studies in the arts, individualised support as well as residency.
The HISK gives young artists from across the globe the opportunity to receive guidance for two years in a functional workspace where any medium is welcome.
The next two year programme starts on January 1, 2020 and ends on December 31, 2021, and applications are now open.
Artists who have already achieved a Master degree in Fine Art or an equivalent qualification are eligible to apply for this programme. Exceptions can be made for applicants whose artistic trajectory evidences a high level of development, motivation and artistic affinity.
Anyone who is accepted into the programme will be expected to fully commit, be present and participate in the activities offered by the HISK.
The unique model of cross-fertilisation of visiting lectureships, studio visits, exhibitions, Open Studios, seminars, master classes, public lectures, technical workshops, study trips within Belgium and abroad are some of the key reasons why young artists are drawn to this programme. The HISK encourages experiment and research with a flexible structure.
