Christiaan Diedericks is one of the country’s most renowned fine artists and print makers. His new solo exhibition, In Search of a King, is currently running at The Melrose Gallery until 9 June 2019.
Curated by Melissa Goba, the exhibit features work that puts issues such as poverty, the possible failure of Capitalism, power, racism, patriarchy, and global slavery under a critical spotlight.
Diedericks is locally and internationally recognised for capturing beauty in poignant, thought-provoking, and often painful themes. He strives to continue pushing the boundaries politically, socially and religiously, as well as personally.
Deidericks is unafraid of laying down his own truth and In Search Of A New King is definitely one of his most personal and important exhibitions to date.
