#Canonx10and5 Abstract Photography Competition

Our Canon Creator Club’s competition is back and this time, it promises to be bigger, and possibly better than last month.

Our Instagram feed was bestowed with breathtakingly beautiful black and white images throughout August, proving that the South African photography scene is souring to greater heights. We have seen a growing number of photographers over the last decade and there is no doubt that the art form has expended greatly since the birth of social media platforms such as Behance and Instagram to mention a few.

We thought we should take things up a notch this September by challenging emerging, professional, aspiring and closet photographers [all on Instagram] to a fun and interesting experiment.

Our theme for this month is Abstract Photography, which is said be a very wide field of image capturing. Abstract photography pushes you to look at things through a new perspective, and the possibilities are endless with this genre, because you don’t particularly need to follow any rules to create an abstract photograph.

We want you to show off your photography prowess by using your imagination and different photography techniques to capture the perfect image that will blow the 10and5 team away.

To enter, simply upload your image(s) on Instagram and use our competition hashtag #Canonx10and5. We will then choose our favourite image, and the winner will get a feature on our website, as well as a R 5000 voucher to spend at ORMS.
