14 Aug H&M x Mantsho’s long anticipated collection is finally here
H&M LAUNCHES ITS LONG-AWAITED FIRST AFRICAN DESIGNER COLLABORATION
On the 15th of August 2019 Mantsho x H&M will be available in all South African H&M stores, online markets, as well as exclusive flagship stores around the world. The exciting collection celebrates the elegance and vibrancy of Africa with modern edgy designs created for the stylish, carefree woman.
Mantsho’s head of design, Palesa Mokubung describes the range as her “love letter to the world from Africa”. In a colour palette that sweeps through blues and browns to blacks, and hues of pink and amber reds, the collection features flowy, easy-fitting cuts, frills and gathers.
Accessories with an Afrocentric edge add the finishing touches to the versatile clothing line with a selection of shoes, earrings and a clutch bag.
“I hope customers around the world will enjoy this ensemble of my stand-out pieces from my last three collections.” Palesa Mokubung
The Mantsho label, meaning ‘black is beautiful’ in Mokubung’s native Sesotho language, was established in 2004 and has since graced numerous runways including Greece, India, USA, Jamaica, Nigeria, Botswana and Senegal.
The global brand, H & M (Hennes & Mauritz AB; publ) partnering with Mantsho in this collaboration, was founded in Sweden in 1947. Pernilla Wohlfahrt, H&M’s Assortment Manager for Collaborations and Special Collections expresses enthusiasm for the launch of this new range, “Palesa’s creativity with colour, print and silhouettes is inspiring as she celebrates the female form through her designs – which complement the female shape in a flattering and playful way. We are so excited to share this collection with our customers across the globe,”
