03 Jan #AfropunkJhb | A Fusion of Fashion, ‘Fros, Food & Funky Music
Afropunk returned to Johannesburg on December 30 and 31 at Constitution Hill, Braamfontein. We saw a diverse group of individuals come together once again this year to honour the year that was and welcome the new one in true South African style.

The festival made its first debut at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in 2005 – #AfropunkJhb aims to celebrate music, fashion, freedom, and African authenticity.
This year, fans had the pleasure of witnessing R&B powerhouse Miguel perform live at the festival alongside other local and international acts including Masego, Nao, Goldlink, Sho Madjozi, Zoë Modiga, Busiswa, Kwani Experience, Urban Village, Lelowhatsgood, DbnGogo and Grammy award-winning musician, Solange who ushered in the new decade.

Below are some of the people who brought the heat to this year’s annual festival.
