Taking inspiration from the idea of multiples, and how they can coexist, NOTGOOD.ENOUGH ™ reimagines the idea of multiples for its second official collection, tilted ‘Parallel’.
NOTGOOD.ENOUGH ™ is a South African Contemporary Design Company, founded in 2018 by Lebogang Mokgoko, specialising in contemporary handmade men’s and women’s ready-to-wear apparel.
The S/S20 collection looks at the idea of sustainability by incorporating off cuts from their previous A/W19 collection into contemporary mens and womenswear pieces that support the company’s view of hybridization through juxtapositions of contrasting textures, signature paneling techniques and African motifs to speak to an underlining theme of the concept of identity.
In essence, the company aims to speak to an underlining theme of identity and trying to fill an ever constant void through the use of clothing and design. Incorporating the idea of hybridization through juxtapositions of contrasting textures, signature paneling techniques and African motifs. The company aims to introduce audiences to a fresh perspective on Contemporary African Design.
The result? A collection of items that can transition easily between various occasions with a distinctive elegance that is based on renderings and transformations of basic and classics with references to luxury and streetwear.
All products are handmade at the NOTGOOD.ENOUGH ™ Studios.
