Superstar illustrator David ‘Slaying Goliath’ Tshabalala has bagged another campaign to kick start an eventful 2020. Running on the back of his wildly popular social commentary series ‘Davetionary’, David collabs with Netflix’s Queen Sono to give us a feel of each character from Africa’s first Netflix original.
“This is a huge honour and really dope as a South African to be on an international platform such as this. I’ve managed to curate current topics that I want to cover and my fans are also very active in giving my ideas to cover and illustrate, I think that’s very unique for a content creator” he says of his Davetionary series.
True to his Davetionary series, each piece gives us a glimpse of the core value behind each of the seven main characters starting with the kickass Pearl Thusi as Queen Sono.
And his Insta caption length Queen Sono review? “An Ode to authentic African storytelling. A woven tapestry of action, drama, and romance. Well-shot with a brilliant soundtrack and spot-on cast.”
