THE SPACE PROJECT NPC Launches the ‘Womxn Artists Relief Fund’ To Help Womxn Artists During COVID-19

The art industry, artists, and organisations are suffering the loss of income from the cancellation of scheduled exhibitions and other fundraising events. The Womxn Artists Relief Fund is an initiative created to help provide relief to financially challenged womxn artists in Africa.

The Womxn Artists Relief Fund was established by THE PROJECT SPACE, a non-profit cultural laboratory dedicated to the advancement of contemporary African art, and the promotion of the culture of entrepreneurship among young African creatives. It’s an institutional platform centered on creating spaces and expanding opportunities for African artists, with a special focus on womxn.

These funds will offer financial support to their past resident artists and an additional 10 womxn artists will be selected from application submissions. A portion of the funds will go into The Project Space’s future projects.

In gratitude, each donation of R100+ will receive a reward for their valued support. Rewards range from limited edition art prints and original work by womxn artists.
