Fred over at Heavy Chef has pointed us to the feature post on Cracked titled: Corporate Attempts at "Edgy" That Failed. It's brilliant and probably one of best examples of how to inauthentic brands entirely miss the plot. I remember the Sony example quite well...

Realistic drawing has always been a pain, which has been the greatest moment that could have happened .. Because this lead to doodling while thinking about the concept of the week or having a designers block (don't we just dread that moment)... through that I would find the most amazing images, that inspires the way I design and amazingly I would figure out the solution to that designers block."

The founders of Real approached Gold Creative to assist them in creating a brand that captures the Brazilian theme of Real but also one that can easily be translated to the South African consumer. The Real logo is a bold statement of Brazilian flair and the icons that complement the logo reinforce the different types of meat available. The icons became part of the brand communication throughout the mobile vehicles, trailer billboards, in store graphics and menus
