Renee Rossouw 1 Renée Rossouw calls herself a graphic-orientated & colour-fixated designer from South Africa. She has had a  life long obsession with comics, colour, uniforms and quirky movie lines developed during 2010 into her primary interest - graphic pattern-making and the application of it onto textiles and three dimensional everyday objects. This particular project is called Pattern Diary and is the result of a year long investigation into identity, patterns, still lifes and composition.  Renée graduated with a Masters of Architecture at UCT in 2009 and has spent this year completing the RSP Master at the European Design Labs in Madrid under director Jaime Hayon of Hayon Studio. This, her graduate project, was done in collaboration with Bosa Ceramics, Italy with direction from Jaime Hayon and Matteo Zorzenoni. She travelled to the Bosa factory in Italy to paint the patterns. The pieces are now on exhibit in Madrid.
Renee Rosouw's illustrations on between 10 and 5 Renee Rossouw completed a Masters in Architecture at the University of Cape Town in 2009  and is currently doing a Masters in Product Design in Madrid. Renee spends her spare time playing around with illustration work; these usually accompany a project that she is working on. Other times it just aims to document an event, space or idea. She is inspired by world cities and cultures, from extra large buildings to small tile details. She is also fascinated by the use of colour.
