painting creches 8 Write on Africa is a not for profit initiative managed by A Word of Art. Their aim is to bring about social change and urban rejuvenation through art in public spaces. Together with See-Saw-Do an initiative started by creative activist/artist/illustrator Xanele Van Rensburg, Write on Africa's latest project has been to paint creches. The first, Siyakhula creche in Kayamandi, was designed by Xanele Van Rensburg and completed on Saturday with the help of painting volunteers and paint sponsored by Plascon. The next creche to be painted has been designed by Linsey Levendall (Bison). Read more about the project at www.writeonafrica.org or visit their facebook page. Illustrated furniture by Xanele Van Rensburg for TYRED furniture The latest range of seating from TYRED furniture comes in the form of custom illustrated designs by some of South Africa's top illustrators and artists. Check out the work by Love and Hate, Dylan Jones, Senyol. Bruce Mackay and more.
