Oakley has arrived in Cape Town. From running crews to sports legends, here’s a look at what went down on launch night.
Oakley has opened its first standalone AFA (Apparel, Fashion and Accessories) store in Africa, choosing Cape Town’s Canal Walk as the spot to make a statement.
The launch party was more than a ribbon-cutting. DJ DooWap set the soundtrack, keeping the energy high while guests danced, mingled, and tried on Oakley’s latest frames between moves.

Cape Town’s running culture showed up strong. Crews like Running Late and The Nine Four pulled through, alongside members of the Adidas Running Club.
Sports royalty Bryan Habana and cricket world champion Wayne Parnell were also spotted, proving Oakley’s pull goes far beyond style.

Inside the store, guests explored Oakley’s full range, from lifestyle pieces to gear for golf, cycling, and other sports.
Outside, a reflective installation drew crowds, while custom cap stations added a personal touch. Oakley’s new store team made sure everyone felt right at home.

The result? A launch that blurred the line between retail and community. A night that captured Oakley’s ethos of performance, style, and connection.
