Comic Con Cape Town has just unveiled its lineup of visiting actors for this year’s event. Among the stars set to grace the event are renowned actors Sean Gunn, Lesley-Ann Brandt, and Veronica Taylor, along with a spotlight on local talent and cast members from the Netflix adaptation of One Piece.
Sean Gunn, best known for his roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Kraglin and as the on-set Rocket Raccoon in the Guardians of the Galaxy films, will be making appearances on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday of the event (27th to 29th April).
Fans of the hit television series Lucifer will be delighted to meet Lesley-Ann Brandt, celebrated for her portrayal of Mazikeen. Brandt, who will also appear in the upcoming Walking Dead spinoff, is scheduled to attend on Saturday and Sunday (27th and 28th April).
Veronica Taylor, the voice behind Pokémon’s Ash Ketchum and various other animated characters, will be at Comic Con Cape Town for all five days of the festival (27th April to 1st May).
“We are thrilled to welcome Veronica Taylor, Lesley-Ann Brandt, and Sean Gunn to Comic Con Cape Town,” said Marketing Manager Calvin van den Berg. “We have also listened to the community and are excited to also be highlighting local talent too.”
In addition to these international stars, Comic Con Cape Town will shine a spotlight on 10 cast members from the Netflix adaptation of One Piece, including South Africans Aidan Scott, Langley Kirkwood, and Alexander Maniatis. Most of the cast will be available for meet-and-greets on Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday (27th April, 28th April, and 1st May), with slight variations in schedule for each cast member.
Comic Con Cape Town offers fans the chance to engage with their favourite stars through panels, autograph signings, photo opportunities, and more. The festival floor will also feature a diverse array of exhibitors, showcases, and interactive experiences spanning comics, gaming, cosplay and beyond.
