Johannesburg, South Africa – June 2025
As far as final match screenings go, the Heineken® House Ultimate Champions League Final Viewing Experience was the only place to be if you weren’t inside the Allianz Arena in Munich. It was more than just a viewing party, it was a celebration of football culture, connection, and South African creativity.

From the moment we stepped through the doors, it was clear: this wasn’t your average fan zone. Heineken® transformed the space into an immersive football-meets-lifestyle hub, part high-energy sports theatre, part nightlife spectacle, part love letter to the fans who lived and breathed the 2025 UEFA Champions League campaign.

Hosted in Johannesburg, the venue echoed the campaign’s season-long themes of innovation, legacy, and community, pulling from the boldness of the Social Screen launch at Hyde Park, the intimacy of Gameplan (that unforgettable sit-down with Lucas Radebe and Julia Stuart), and the magic of the Trophy Tour with Bastian Schweinsteiger.
But the final event? It was the crescendo.
The Screening Experience: Drama, Unity, and Roars of Celebration
Projected on a massive screen surrounded by curated lighting and high-definition visuals, the final whistle felt just as seismic in Jozi as it did in Munich. Every goal, save, and near-miss was met with a visceral reaction from the crowd, cheers, groans, chants. At one point, it felt like the entire room moved in unison.

Heineken didn’t just broadcast the match; they engineered an atmosphere that rivalled the stadium experience. From pitch-themed interiors to immersive activations and surprise guest appearances, every detail pointed back to one thing: this was for the fans.
Heineken® House: A Cultural Playground
In true Heineken® style, the night wasn’t only about the football, it was about what happens when football collides with culture. The lineup was stacked with South African heavyweights who brought a whole new level of energy to the night.

Two Bunnies, Oscar Mbo shut it down with electric sets pre and post-match, turning the venue into a dancefloor as fans celebrated late into the night. Dali Wonga, Nkosazana Daughter, Blxckie,K.O, Emtee, Focalistic, Anatii delivered high-octane performances later in the evening that got the post-match energy exactly where it needed to be: up.

And Kwesta , closed the night with his hit song , “Ngudu”, which served as a genre-defying cross performance classic, that had everyone moving and lifting their green bottles in the air. These weren’t just performances, they were moments of release, of shared rhythm and of Jozi excellence in full form.

Even off-stage, the energy was unmatched. Influencers, local football legends, creatives, and fans mingled freely. The Heineken® House experience felt like a full-circle moment: a space where world-class football and homegrown culture met with effortless synergy.
A Celebration of the Journey
The event also served as a tribute to the incredible campaign that came before it: the ground-breaking Social Screen made of 289 synced mobile phones; Gameplan, which reminded us why we watch with others; and the UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour, which brought global legends like Schweinsteiger face-to-face with South African supporters. All of it came together in subtle visual nods and interactive moments throughout the venue.

As Bhavna Mistry put it, “This campaign has always been about more than just football—it’s about the real hardcore fans, passion and the power of shared moments.” And that’s exactly what Heineken® delivered: a finale that felt like a thank you to every South African fan who lived the campaign, game by game, story by story.
The Takeaway?
If you ever doubted the power of football to bring people together—or the power of brands to create unforgettable cultural moments—Heineken® House Final made believers out of us all.
See you next season.
