Loeries Creative Week is almost here, and from October 7-11, Cape Town will be buzzing with events that celebrate the best in creativity from across Africa and the Middle East.
The Loeries Creative Week is all about showcasing amazing creative talent, and this year’s edition has a lineup of events that anyone can join. Whether you’re a student, a creative pro, or just curious about the industry, there’s something for everyone.
Here’s a quick breakdown of what’s happening and how you can get involved:
Creative Week Events
From October 9-11, head to the Homecoming Centre for the Loeries Expo and the Student Expo. You’ll get to meet industry leaders, check out cool projects, and learn from experts in Masterclasses that dive into all kinds of creative topics. If you’re a high schooler or know someone interested in creative careers, the Loeries High School Programme is also happening and is designed to inspire the next wave of talent.
Loeries International Seminar of Creativity
On October 11, the International Seminar of Creativity is happening at the Homecoming Centre. This event is a chance to hear from some of the biggest names in the creative world, like Ajay Gahlaut, Jack Renwick, and TikTok’s Shant Oknayan. They’ll be talking about the future of advertising, design, and creativity, sharing their experiences, and giving tips on how to thrive in this space.
Loeries Awards & Judging
The Loeries Awards themselves are on October 10 and 11 at City Hall. These are the big nights where the best creative work from across the region gets recognised. With 189 judges, 17 panels, and representation from 12 countries, the competition is fierce. There’s also a new B2B Creativity category and more subcategories in Media Innovation, so you’ll see a lot of variety in the work being celebrated.
Party Time
And what’s a creative week without a party? After the final awards on October 11, there’s an epic afterparty at Cabo Beach Club to close off the week in style.
