Mount Nelson, A Belmond Hotel, is turning 125, and what better way to celebrate than with Confections x Collections (CxC), a top showcase of African fashion? From November 5-9, this event brings together Africa’s finest designers for a unique salon-style exhibition. CxC, curated by Twyg, is all about celebrating African slow fashion in style.
Spotlight on Leading Designers
Each day of the event will feature a designer sharing their new work and inspirations:
November 5: Rich Mnisi, known for redefining African luxury with his bold and powerful designs.
November 6: Adeju Thompson of Lagos Space Programme, blending Yoruba heritage with futuristic design.
November 7: Bubu Ogisi of IAMISIGO, who mixes traditional craft with contemporary style.
November 8: Lukhanyo Mdingi, a designer focused on sustainable fashion that connects heritage with modernity.
Finale and Big Names
On November 9, the event closes with an exclusive show featuring CxC alumni, like Viviers Studio, Mantsho, and Maxhosa Africa. This grand finale celebrates African talent and creativity with a nod to the global fashion stage.
