Slikour OnLife has launched SOL Distro, a new platform built to help African musicians release their music globally, keep 100% of their royalties, and access professional creative support.
The Johannesburg-based launch took place on Thursday, 14 August 2025. SOL Distro offers more than just music distribution, it combines recording studios, music video production, PR campaigns, streaming subscriptions, editorial coverage, and detailed audience analytics on one platform. Artists can distribute to over 33 global platforms while working with a locally based support team.

Slikour OnLife, founded by Siya “Slikour” Metane, has been a force in African music innovation for over a decade, with more than 160,000 registered artists and over 15 million song downloads. SOL Distro builds on that legacy, aiming to give artists professional tools without the industry gatekeeping.
The platform also creates new ways for advertisers and brands to connect with audiences across genres, from collaborations to sync deals. “In order for us to have control over our creativity, we need to build the systems that monetise our content,” says Metane. “This is our first official product to bring the power of data, monetisation and influence back into our proximity.”

With SOL Distro, Slikour OnLife is redefining the African music landscape. Building a platform that serves artists not just as distributors, but as partners in their creative and commercial success.
