Nike and Kim Kardashian’s Skims Join Forces to Redefine Activewear
The long-awaited collaboration between Nike and Skims is finally here. This partnership is a key strategic move for Nike as it aims to recapture a greater share of the female athletic wear market.

A Fusion of Two Powerhouses
This collection brings together the best of both brands. Nike provides its legacy expertise in moisture-wicking fabrics and technical performance, while Skims infuses its signature aesthetic of clean, minimalistic style lines and a focus on fit.
We know what they do well, and they know what we do well,” explains Kim Kardashian, co-founder and chief creative officer of Skims. “We wanted to bring our DNA into activewear.” The result is a line that features a fresh point of view, including square necks and thin straps that are true to the Skims brand.”
Designed for Every Lifestyle
The collection isn’t just one style, it’s a comprehensive offering with something for everyone. It includes seven distinct ranges, each with a unique feel:
- The Matte Collection: Features 21 styles with a matte finish and mid-level compression.
- The Shine Collection: Offers 11 stretchy styles with a subtle sheen.
- The Airy Collection: Includes breathable, mesh-inspired knit pieces.
- The Vintage Seamless Collection: Comprises worn-in, vintage-inspired pieces.
- The Matte Tricot Collection: Features minimal, track-inspired pieces.
Kardashian emphasises the versatility of the collection, designed to fit into a busy lifestyle.
You can wear some of the pieces out at night and look really great, or there’s super casual pieces strictly for working out,” she says.
Beyond the Studio

The line is made for a new generation of athletes. The ones who see strength, style, competition and femininity as part of the same story.
To launch it, they rolled out a campaign stacked with more than 50 Nike athletes. Serena Williams, Sha’Carri Richardson, Chloe Kim and Kim Kardashian herself, all feature.
And yes, for fans, it’s also a chance to dress like a star athlete while still looking ready for everyday life.

Empowering a New Generation of Athletes
The vision behind NikeSKIMS is brought to life in the debut film, Bodies at Work, directed by Janicza Bravo. The campaign showcases the power and beauty of the body while emphasizing the individuality of women across all levels of sport.
For the athletes involved, this message is deeply personal. After seeing the film for the first time, Jordan Chiles said, “This is a reminder that my body and every woman’s body is not something to be picked apart or controlled. It’s a force. It’s power. It’s artistry.”
This is exactly the point, according to Kim Kardashian. “Our mission is clear: to redefine women’s activewear without compromise,” she says.
“This collection brings together cutting-edge performance with bold, style-forward design, empowering athletes from elite competitors to everyday gym enthusiasts to move effortlessly and conquer their goals with confidence.” – Kim Kardashian

Wearing NikeSkims makes me feel confident and unrestricted. I feel fierce knowing I can look and feel this good while working hard.” – Sha’ Carri Richardson
This collaboration builds on Nike’s broader dedication to its women’s business, a commitment that Amy Montagne, President of Nike, calls “a bold evolution in how women experience sport and style.”
This launch gives fans the chance to wear gear that performs like sports kit but feels designed for everyday life. It’s built to move, built to sculpt, and made to look good off the court too.
