The release of the final 5,000 tickets marks another milestone for what is shaping up to be one of the biggest live music events South Africa has ever seen.
DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small are one step closer to making South African music history.
Following overwhelming demand for Scorpion Kings Live at FNB Stadium, organisers have announced that the final 5,000 tickets will go on sale on 25 June, giving thousands more fans the opportunity to be part of what has become one of the country’s most anticipated concerts of the year.
The announcement follows a record-breaking response when tickets were first released, with more than 500,000 fans reportedly joining the online queue in hopes of securing a place at the historic event.

If the remaining tickets sell out, Scorpion Kings Live will become the second-largest sold-out concert ever hosted at FNB Stadium. More significantly, DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small will become the first South African artists, and the first Amapiano act, to headline and sell out a stadium show at this scale.
The milestone speaks to the continued rise of Amapiano from a township-born sound into a global cultural movement. Over the past few years, the genre has become one of South Africa’s biggest musical exports, filling festival line-ups, dominating streaming platforms and influencing dance floors across the world.
“This is bigger than us. It’s bigger than one show,” said DJ Maphorisa. “It’s about showing the world what South African music can do.”
Kabza De Small echoed the sentiment, describing the moment as a celebration of the fans who have supported the genre’s growth.
“We’ve always believed in the music and in the people who support it. To be part of a moment like this, where piano is making history, is a blessing.”

The concert, scheduled for 19 September 2026, represents another defining chapter for South African live music, highlighting the growing ability of local artists to fill the country’s biggest venues while taking homegrown sounds to international audiences.
The final allocation of tickets will be available through Webtickets, Pick n Pay and Boxer stores nationwide, while a limited number of hospitality packages will also be released.
