Just before the Covid-19 hard lockdown in South Africa, the Lampost Luminaries teamed up with Italian Vogue contributing photographer Andrea Baioni and New York-based stylist Candice Waldman. Acclaimed hairstylist Saadique Ryklief and make-up artist Lesley Whitby also lent their expertise on this project.
Andrea proposed and led a concept where him and the Lumes photographed a selection of models all on the same day, with the same styling and grooming. Showcasing some of SA’s best fashion talent – Rich Mnisi, Thebe Magugu, and Viviers.
Sharing combined resources highlighted each of the Luminaries individual approaches and photographic style, all the while experiencing invaluable on location shoot production with the Lampost team.
The opportunity to be mentored by an elite fashion team resulted in a bold celebration exploring fashion editorial approaches by our four Lumes.
