Award-winning DJ, producer and cultural force DBN Gogo is preparing to push her limits, and South African music history with a groundbreaking 24-hour DJ set.
Taking place from midnight on Saturday, 4 April 2026, straight through to midnight on Sunday, 5 April 2026, the marathon performance will see DBN Gogo behind the decks for a full 24 hours without breaks, marking her as the first female DJ in South Africa to attempt and complete a set of this magnitude.

But for DBN Gogo, this moment isn’t about chasing firsts, it’s about challenging herself.
It’s approaching ten years of me being a DJ, and I felt like it was time to test myself with something that would push me not only as an artist, but as a person,” she says. “I never do things because I want to be the first. I do them to see how far I can take myself.”
Framed as a deeply personal endurance test, the 24-hour set is rooted in discipline, stamina, and creative storytelling, while also serving as a celebration of community, culture, and the global rise of amapiano. As DBN Gogo continues to expand her role beyond the decks into eventing and experience-led moments, the concept reflects her growing desire to create something more immersive for her supporters.

How can I be better than I was the day before? How can I build on my legacy? What kind of impact do I want to leave?” she asks.
The historic set also carries weight beyond the personal. In an industry where women are still underrepresented in high-stakes, high-visibility moments, DBN Gogo’s attempt stands as a powerful statement about endurance, leadership, and creative authority.
I want people to really understand me, where I come from and where I’m going,” she explains. “A lot of people don’t know me from before amapiano. I want them to hear what influenced me to start DJing in the first place. And I want the strongest soldiers to stay with me for the full journey.”

We start at midnight, so the energy will be high,” she says. “Then we’ll wind down in the early hours, tap into nostalgia, and bring it back up again during the day. By the time we close, it should feel like a full-circle moment. I want to tell a story.”
A 24-hour set is no small feat, physically, mentally, or creatively. But if anyone is equipped for the challenge, it’s DBN Gogo. With a decade-long career defined by consistency, growth, and cultural impact, this moment feels less like a stunt and more like a statement.
One that says: this is how far she’s come and how much further she’s willing to go.
