SA’s streetwear heavyweight GALXBOY just added another major move to its list of 2025 wins.
Fresh from opening their 15th store in Ballito over the weekend, the brand has announced that they’ll be the exclusive merchandise partner for the upcoming Scorpion Kings Live with Friends concert, happening Friday, 29 August at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.
The link-up makes sense: Scorpion Kings, made up of DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small are global flag bearers for amapiano, while GALXBOY is the fashion brand rewriting what it means to be young, ambitious and African. Both have grown from the streets into cultural leaders, shaping how South African youth look, sound and move.
For the concert, GALXBOY is dropping a limited edition T-shirt collection, four designs across six styles, retailing at R600 each.
The drop will be available at GALXBOY stores, online, and at the festival itself. Expect bold graphics that channel the energy of the streets and the unapologetic cool both brands are known for.

The partnership comes in a year of big moves for GALXBOY. Aside from their Ballito opening, the brand has added new stores in Sandton City and East Rand Mall, with each space designed as more than just retail. They aim to be creative hubs for a generation that lives and breathes streetwear.

More About the concert
The Scorpion Kings aren’t holding back with this year’s show. After weeks of slowly revealing their powerhouse lineup, DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small recently dropped their final surprise: Afrobeats megastar Davido, joining a bill that already reads like a who’s who of African music.

Alongside Davido, expect performances from Ami Faku, Cassper Nyovest, Focalistic, Msaki, Young Stunna, Kamo Mphela, Kwesta, Mafikizolo and many more. The Kings will also pay tribute to legendary composer Caiphus Semenya with a live honouring moment and a special remix of one of his classics.
The pre-show stage will keep the energy high all day, with sets from Blxckie, DBN Gogo, Dlala Thukzin, Christos, and more before the main event takes over Loftus.
