The latest Be A Bok winner, Themba Buthelezi from Newcastle, KZN, shares his journey with us.
What started as an ordinary day in his garden became an unforgettable experience alongside the Springboks on the rugby field.
Themba Buthelezi is the latest Coca-Cola Be A Bok winner to have the honour of not only winning tickets to see a live Springboks rugby match but to visit their changing room and watch the game from a seat right next to the Bokke, making it feel like you’re one of them.
The Be a Bok campaign kicked off in June, and he is the sixth and final fan to have the honour to win this special experience.

THE CALL THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING
In a video shared by Coca-Cola, Themba tells the story in his own words.
He still remembers the moment the phone rang. “I was at home when I received the call from Coca-Cola. I was busy working in the garden when I got the call and I asked who the call was from and they replied it was from Coca-Cola. I immediately stopped everything I was doing when they told me I had won a ticket to the Springboks match.”

For Themba, that moment was surreal. He had never imagined standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the national team. Says Themba, talking about one of his standout moments, “Another thing that made me happy was finding a T-shirt with my name written on it when I entered the Springboks changing room.”
But his absolute highlight was the game. “What I loved most, with all my heart, was sitting with the players.” This is a vantage point that money can’t buy and the most special part of the winner-experience.
“We are very grateful for what Coca-Cola has done for us.”
From Newcastle to the stadium, Themba’s journey captures what Be A Bok is all about, turning loyal fans into part of the story.
