Vault On Bree First Thursdays Rosey Gold

Inside Vault On Bree’s First Thursdays with Rosey Gold on the Decks

Looking back at last week’s First Thursdays, Vault On Bree drew a steady crowd as Rosey Gold delivered a set that brought artists, designers, and DJs together.

The Bree Street space, known for giving local creatives room to experiment and connect, was taken over by Rosey Gold, whose set turned the venue into one of the night’s most talked-about stops.

Presented in collaboration with G-STAR, the evening brought together artists, designers, and DJs for a sound-led moment that celebrated vinyl culture and intentional listening but also good times, good music and fashion.

Rosey Gold’s sets move between worlds. Based in Europe but rooted in SA, the South African DJ blends electronic music with Afro house and diasporic influences. Her music reflects a childhood shaped by travel and diverse cultural influences. Her sound draws on different rhythms and emotions, smooth to listen to and easy to dance to.

Fresh off performances at Hï Ibiza and Chinois Ibiza, alongside sold-out London shows and recognition as Beatport’s “One to Watch”. It was also an unofficial lead-in to her Kunye appearance over the weekend, offering a local preview of where her sound is heading.

Opening the night was Mandy Jade, setting the tone before Rosey Gold took over.

The event also continued Vault On Bree’s Open Decks project, an ongoing initiative giving emerging DJs space to experiment and build confidence in front of a live audience.

It was one of many strong stops on the First Thursdays circuit, but one that earned its place on the night’s map.
