Cape Town’s YoungstaCPT teams up with Reebok for the Oh-Two-1, a limited-edition sneaker that turns local stories into wearable art.
Reebok South Africa just linked up with Cape Town’s own YoungstaCPT for a collab that’s pure hometown pride.
Introducing the Oh-Two-1. A limited-edition sneaker named after the city’s iconic 021 area code.
This isn’t just merch. It’s memoir. Every line, texture, and panel is a piece of the Cape Flats, remixed into a Reebok classic.

The City on Your Feet
The Oh-Two-1 reimagines the legendary Pump OmniZone, that ‘90s baller silhouette now dressed in stories from the streets.
Every inch of it hits different. Spray cans, Metrorail trains, the Gatsby, even cassette tapes and washing lines, all hand-drawn by Ross Solomon, another Cape Town creative.
It’s the city turned collage. The hustle stitched into leather.
The gritty outsole nods to the roads that built the culture. The yellow-orange fade? Straight from those Table Mountain sunrises.

Only 500 Made. Each One Signed.
This drop is small but loud. 500 pairs, individually signed and numbered by YoungstaCPT himself.
Each box comes with a sticker sheet inspired by his mixtapes and lyrics.
It’s a collectible. A timestamp.
For the City. By the City.
“You can’t applaud a fish for swimming,” YoungstaCPT says.
“We’re meant to do this. But you still gotta earn it. This is what perseverance looks like. Ten thousand hours looks like me.” – YoungstaCPT
He’s been about Reebok since day one.
“Even before the music. You can see it in my old photos. This shoe? It’s for my people. For the ones who made something out of nothing.”

Mzansi Gold Energy
The Oh-Two-1 is part of Reebok South Africa’s Pure Mzansi Gold series, a platform celebrating the country’s biggest cultural voices.
Following the late AKA’s collab, YoungstaCPT becomes the third South African to design a signature Reebok and the biggest one yet.
“YoungstaCPT is Reebok energy,” says PJ Morilly from Reebok SA. “He’s real, raw, and unapologetic. That’s exactly what this collab stands for.”

The Drop
The Oh-Two-1 lands October 31st at R3,999. Available at Reebok.co.za, Reebok stores, and select retailers including Sportscene, Studio88, Shelflife, Sneakerdistrict, and Y?Gen.
And to top it off, Reebok’s rolling out a four-part mini doc, part mixtape, part memoir, following the creative journey behind the sneaker. Expect behind-the-scenes drops, visuals, and stories straight from Youngsta’s city.
Cape Town. Culture. Craft. The Oh-Two-1 is all three.
