Diesel FW25 Through the Eyes of Samurai Farai

Elevated yet disrupted, corrupted, slashed, destroyed, and impossibly low-cut. The show is held in the biggest ever known graffiti installation, with over three kilometers of graffiti fabric, made by a global street art collective of around 7000 of amateur and seasoned  graffiti artists. We got an exclusive look at the Diesel FW25 through the lens of the talented and driven, Samurai Farai.

Each country staged unique activations to graffiti thousands of rolls of cloth. In India, local artists graffitied the cloth at Diesel stores, inviting customers to get involved. In China and Japan, students were invited to take part, while in South Africa, graffitiing took place at a full-day event complete with a DJ set.

The artists were given complete freedom to express themselves in their work. The graffiti artists who collaborated on the collection are:

Farai Engelbrecht aka ‘Samurai Farai‘ (South Africa)

Roy XR Chen (China)

Ryota Daimon (Japan)

Phree Hester (USA)

Brianna Toomer (France)

Red Longo (Italy)

Q & A  with Samurai Farai

10and5 Team: What’s up Family, tell us what you’re up in Italy, we see the snaps on Instagram?

I’m in Milan Fashion Week 2025, with Diesel, firstly, to attend the runway show with Diesel here in Italy, and as well to kind of see the launch of my capsule collection that I’ve completed with them”-Samurai Farai

10and5 Team: What’s the Capsule with Diesel all about?

Diesel has a street wear capsule collection with six different artists across the globe, we all had to kind of customize garments and submit diesel garments, and then the team pretty much chose their favorites. So I think out of all the capsule collections, there’s nine items, they chose three of mine. So it was quite a big deal”-Samurai Farai

10and5 Team: That’s pretty cool! I’m sure it’s been quite a celebratory moment for you,  when is the collection available?

We pretty much here to celebrate the collection, to see it in stores, to see all the different stores set up. That’s where we’re going today,  to the HQ and the flagship stores. Yeah man! The Samurai Farai x Diesel collab will officially be available from today, globally”-Samurai Farai

I love that thousands of people around the world have worked together to create the set design. We gave the global street art collective complete creative freedom – they expressed themselves each in their own way, on a project that’s taken months to achieve. This is the true democracy of Diesel,”-Glenn Martens, creative director of Diesel.
