When a running shoe comes with a name like Infinite Elite 2, you don’t walk it through a mall, you take it straight to the streets. So when Under Armour dropped the Infinite Elite 2, we laced up, hit the streets, and put these high-performance runners to the test. From Jozi pavements to gravel paths, we took the shoes through their paces to see whether they just look the part, or if they really deliver on distance, comfort, and style.

Laced up before sunrise, playlist locked, we hit Jozi’s pavements to see if Under Armour’s latest drop was just all tech talk, or if it could really go the distance
THE LOOK: FAST, EVEN WHEN STANDING STILL
The Infinite Elite 2 doesn’t whisper “performance”, it screams it. Sculpted shape, high-traction sole, and an upper that looks like it was woven in the future. You can see the innovation in the Warp 2.0 upper and feel it in the midsole. This shoe looks ready to break a sweat and turn heads on Braam’s sidewalks post-run.

THE RUN: LIGHT, LOCKED, LAUNCHED
The first few strides? Cloud-like. But not squishy. The Flow Elite foam midsole hits that sweet spot: light enough to forget you’re wearing them, cushioned enough to carry you through 10Ks and beyond.

From the quiet corners of a park to dodging early morning taxis downtown, the Infinite Elite 2 stayed responsive. Agile in corners, bouncy on the straights and locked in through every terrain we could throw at it. Asphalt. Bricks. Slight drizzle. No stress.
NO RUBBER, NO PROBLEM
Here’s where it gets interesting. There’s no traditional outsole. Under Armour ditched the usual rubber for a full-foam, high-traction grip system and it works. Surprisingly well. Even as we sped into our last few K’s, the grip didn’t slip, and the transition felt buttery smooth.

ENERGY THAT LASTS
Most shoes start to feel heavy or flat as the kilometres stack up. This one? Didn’t flinch. It felt like it wanted more. The kind of shoe that’ll carry you from casual jogs to those long Saturday runs where you process life, solve problems, and spot three new coffee shops along the way.

THE VERDICT: BUILT FOR MILEAGE, DESIGNED FOR MOMENTUM
The Infinite Elite 2 is for runners who want more from their shoe, more comfort, more tech, more bounce. Whether you’re training for a 21K, chasing your next PB, or running just to feel something cushiony, it’s got you.

Would we recommend it? Without hesitation.
Would we wear it again? Already did, twice, maybe 3 times.
